Dry Eye

Dry Eye is a chronic disorder with multiple treatment options. At Crown Point Eye Care, our doctors are dry eye specialists, and our diagnostic equipement allows us to provide a personalized dry eye treatment regime.  Inflammation in the oil glands (meibomian glands) of the eyelids accounts for a majority of dry eye cases.  This inflammation leads to blockage of oil production, which will eventually lead to oil gland deterioration.  We apply a multi-treatment approach to provide comfort and restore proper gland function.  Call to schedule your dry eye assessment today!

Myopia Management

Slowing the Progression of Myopia in children and young adults.

At Crown Point Eye Care, we offer a cutting edge and specialized treatment protocols utilizing contact lenses, glasses, and pharmaceutical interventions to manage myopia progression.

MiSight

Is a soft, one day contact lens, FDA approved for children.  It requires 10 hr daily use, six days a week to slow myopic progression.

Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology, or Ortho-K, is an advanced vision correction method that non-surgically corrects refractive errors using specially designed overnight lenses to reshape the cornea. This eliminates the daytime need for eyeglasses or contact lenses. Suitable for both adults and children with myopia, clear vision is typically achieved within 7-10 days. The effect is temporary, which requires you to wear the lenses each night, and discontinuation will revert the eyes back to their original prescription. Regular followups are required to monitor corneal health.

Atropine

While there are various methods to manage myopia with contact lenses, recent studies highlight the effectiveness of atropine, especially in concentrations of 0.01% to 0.05%. These concentrations slow nearsightedness without significantly affecting pupil size or near vision.
